The Gildemeister GS20 is a multispindle automatic lathe designed for machining parts with a maximum diameter of 25.0 mm. This machine features multiple tool holders and a spindle assembly inside the machining area, allowing for efficient simultaneous operations on several spindles. The lathe is equipped with a protective enclosure that includes a clear window for operator safety. The machine has undergone an extensive mechanical and electrical overhaul. Mechanically, components such as the drum, carriage, front end and lever, spindle, caliper opening/closing mechanisms, threading assembly, camshaft, and sagging bearings for RPM and feed have been serviced. Electrically, the lathe has been updated with a Siemens S7-1200 PLC and a Siemens KTP700 HMI touchscreen panel, along with new relays and a cam encoder, enhancing control and automation capabilities. The electrical control cabinet is organized and clean, housing Siemens PLC components and wiring, with documentation stored inside the door pocket. The cabinet door features a high voltage warning symbol and includes an emergency stop switch located above the HMI panel. Structurally, the machine shows signs of use with some paint wear and minor rust spots on metal surfaces, particularly on the base and chip conveyor areas, but no major damage is visible. The machine rests on orange pads and is installed in a clean industrial workshop environment. It includes a chip tray or container positioned on a wooden pallet in front of the machine. Additional components include an electric motor and pump mounted on the lower rear side. The control panel, positioned on an adjustable arm on the front side, contains multiple buttons and indicators, along with an emergency stop for operational safety.
